We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support our finance department in managing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will help ensure accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Process invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor company bank accounts
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files
  • Handle petty cash and staff reimbursement claims
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding payment queries
  • Assist with VAT returns and other compliance tasks
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role or relevant finance/admin role
  • Good understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
