Description

We're looking for a Senior Video Editor to lead the editorial process from story development through final delivery. You'll own narrative, pace, structure, and finish; set editorial standards; and mentor editors/assistants to produce best-in-class content across social, commercial, and branded formats.

• Translate briefs, scripts, and boards into compelling edits; craft narrative arcs, selects, paper edits, and alt cuts.
• Lead assembly, rough/fine cuts, picture lock; optimize pacing, rhythm, and emotional beats for target platforms.
• Oversee/execute sound design, temp and final mix coordination, color pipeline (grade or supervise), graphic supers, captions, and QC to delivery specs.
• Deliver aspect ratios and runtimes for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and paid placements; manage subtitles/localization as needed.
• Run reviews, manage feedback cycles, present creative rationale, and protect editorial integrity while meeting objectives and deadlines.
• Define edit templates, naming, proxy/online workflows, LUTs, and handoff practices; maintain organized project files and media management.
• Mentor editors and assistants; review work, give actionable notes; uphold consistency and brand guidelines across outputs.
• Direct the integration of lower thirds, kinetic type, simple motion graphics, and UI comps; collaborate with MGFX artists when required.
• Enforce technical specs (codecs, frame rates, loudness, color space), perform final QC, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years professional experience in video post-production/editorial across commercials, branded content, or social campaigns.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve (conform/color supervision); working knowledge of After Effects for titles/graphics.
• Demonstrated strength in storytelling, pacing, music selection, and sound design direction; confident finishing to broadcast/social specs.
• Solid understanding of color workflows (LUTs, SDR/HDR basics/ACES or managed color), audio loudness standards, and multi-format delivery.
• Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects, deadlines, and stakeholders with meticulous attention to detail.
• Mentoring editors/assistants and running feedback cycles with clarity.
• Strong social platform literacy (short-form vertical, hooks, retention, and thumb-stopper thinking).
• Fluent English (written & verbal) required; Arabic is advantageous but not required.
• Experience with collaborative review tools , Wipster), asset management systems, and AI-assisted editorial tools (transcription, rough-cut assist).
• Comfort directing light motion graphics pipelines and collaborating with VFX/MGFX artists.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: AED7, AED9,500.00 per month

• Dubai: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
