Key responsibilities/Duties:
Job purpose:
Mott MacDonald is currently looking for a Civil Inspector who will be responsible for inspecting the installation of roads, utilities and infrastructure works ensuring their compliancy with the codes and standards within the contract.
Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:
- Provide professional support to the project team, helping to ensure high quality service delivery and a co-ordinated response to clients
- Involve delegated trust and authority, together with the use of initiative, at a level commensurate with the status of the post
- Check site conditions for suitability prior to construction
- Develop and maintain the Quality Management System, Quality Management Plan in line with legislation, certification, contract requirements and parent company governance
- Observe, check and record work execution is in accordance with approved methods
- Manage QA implementation and assure full compliance with extensive QA/QC processes
- Check setting-out and levels
- Check services locations and ensure their protection
- Record inspections, tests, work executed etc.
- Observe site safety procedures and actively monitor and report on contractor's safety performance, raising non-conformance reports when required.

- Assist in the preparation of 'As Built' drawings
- To undertake specific projects as required
Candidate Specifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or any relevant engineering;
- Experience in roads and infrastructure/utilities withing the United Arab Emirates, Dubai
- Proven experience in managing all HSE matters on large construction sites
- Experience within a consultancy environment is preferred
- Continuously looking for innovations and improvements to manage workload and accomplish deliverables across individuals, teams and projects
