Proposal Engineer – Job Description

Job Title: Proposal Engineer

Job Summary

The Proposal Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and compliant technical and commercial proposals in response to client requirements. This role bridges engineering, sales, and operations to ensure proposals meet technical specifications, cost targets, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze client RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents
  • Downloading RFQS & submitting offers in Ariba portals
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals
  • Develop cost estimates, pricing, and technical solutions
  • Ensure proposals comply with customer specifications and standards
  • Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and datasheets
  • Support negotiations and clarifications with clients as well as with vendors
  • Maintain proposal databases and documentation records
  • Meet proposal submission deadlines

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Experience in proposal/tender engineering
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and costing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); ERP tools are a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with OIL AND GAS proposal EPC projects, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards
  • Prior experience responding to large-scale tenders

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 per month
