Odoo Developer Manager

As we scale our technology ecosystem to support multiple investment modules, fleet operations, and automated revenue systems, we are strengthening our digital backbone with a fully customized, enterprise-grade Odoo ERP environment.

We are seeking an Odoo Developer Manager with advanced technical capabilities and strong managerial leadership to drive ERP architecture, system automation, API ecosystem development, and integration across all business units. This role is central to RSL's digital transformation and long-term technology roadmap.

Position Overview

The Odoo Developer Manager will oversee the design, development, scalability, and optimization of RSL's Odoo ERP platform. This includes leading a development team, owning technical architecture, driving integration strategy, and ensuring full system automation across HR, Fleet, Finance, Investor Relations, CRM, Logistics, and Operations.

This role requires a senior-level Odoo architect capable of transforming complex business requirements into stable, secure, and high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & ERP Architecture

• Lead the strategy, architecture, and roadmap for RSL's enterprise Odoo ecosystem.
• Ensure modular, scalable, and secure system design aligned with best Odoo/ORM standards.
• Drive version upgrades, module refactoring, and deployment optimization.

Advanced Odoo Development

• Build, customize, and optimize Odoo modules (HR, Investor Portal, Finance, CRM, Fleet, Maintenance, Revenue & ROI Engine).
• Develop high-performance backend logic using Python, Odoo ORM, and PostgreSQL.
• Build advanced front-end interfaces using XML, QWeb, JavaScript, and responsive UI frameworks.

API & System Integrations

• Architect and develop integrations with:
• GPS/telemetry systems
• Payment gateways & digital wallets
• External HRMS/WPS
• Government/RTA APIs
• Third-party booking systems & mobile apps
• Ensure data synchronization, redundancy prevention, and real-time communication.

Automation, Workflows & Process Optimization

• Build end-to-end process workflows for onboarding, contracts, fleet lifecycle, investor ROI distribution, revenue tracking, etc.
• Automate operational processes to reduce manual workload across departments.
• Implement AI-assisted workflows, data validation, predictive analytics, and smart insights.

Reporting, Dashboards & Analytics

• Develop executive dashboards, KPI trackers, operational reports, and investor reporting modules.
• Enable data-driven decision-making through advanced analytic models.

Performance, Security & Compliance

• Ensure all modules follow secure coding standards and access-control logic.
• Optimize performance for high-volume data environments.
• Implement best practices for backup, disaster recovery, logs, and auditing.

Team Management & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor a team of Odoo developers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with business leaders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
• Drive sprint planning, code reviews, testing cycles, and deployment pipelines.

Documentation & Support

• Maintain full documentation of system architecture, modules, workflows, APIs, and enhancements.
• Provide L3 technical support and guide cross-functional teams on best ERP usage.

Candidate Profile:

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Odoo Certification highly preferred.

Technical Expertise

• 6–8+ years of hands-on Odoo development, including enterprise implementations.
• Strong command of:
• Python, Odoo ORM, PostgreSQL
• XML/QWeb, JavaScript, JQuery
• API architecture (REST/GraphQL)
• Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in multi-company, multi-branch Odoo architectures.
• Strong experience integrating Odoo with external systems.

Preferred Background

• Experience in transportation, logistics, fintech, ERP-heavy operations, or investment-based business models.
• Knowledge of cloud deployments (AWS, Azure) and DevOps automation.
• Familiarity with AI models, ML-driven automation, and analytics integration.

• Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication.

• Ability to convert business strategy into technical execution
