Job Description: Landscaping Engineer

The Landscaping Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the implementation of outdoor landscapes that are functional, sustainable, and visually appealing. This role blends engineering principles with horticultural knowledge to create high‑quality outdoor environments for residential, commercial, and public spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed landscape designs, drawings, and technical plans using CAD or similar software.
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate soil conditions, drainage, sunlight, and environmental factors.
  • Plan and supervise installation of softscape (plants, trees, turf) and hardscape (irrigation systems, pathways, retaining walls).
  • Design and optimize irrigation systems for water efficiency and plant health.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project managers to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
  • Prepare cost estimates, material lists, and project timelines.
  • Ensure all work complies with local regulations, environmental standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor project progress and provide technical guidance to on‑site teams.
  • Recommend plant species suitable for climate, soil, and design requirements.
  • Conduct post‑installation evaluations and provide maintenance recommendations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Engineering, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and landscape construction methods.
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS, or similar).
  • Excellent project management and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of sustainable landscaping practices is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in landscaping engineering or landscape design.
  • Experience working in GCC climates, especially with drought‑tolerant and heat‑resistant plants.
  • Familiarity with local municipality requirements and environmental regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5, AED8,000.00 per month
