Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused
Aviation Insurance Broker
to manage insurance portfolios for clients across the aviation sector, including airlines, private aircraft owners, manufacturers, MROs (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul), and airport operators. The role involves delivering customized insurance solutions, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Client Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with aviation-sector clients.
  • Understand client operations and risk exposures to provide tailored insurance solutions.
  • Handle policy advice, renewals, endorsements, and coverage changes efficiently.

Risk Assessment & Advisory:

  • Analyze aviation-specific risks and exposures.
  • Advise clients on coverage options and suitable limits.

Policy Placement & Negotiation:

  • Prepare submissions and present client risks to underwriters.
  • Negotiate terms, premiums, and coverage with domestic and international insurers.
  • Review and deliver binding documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Market and Industry Engagement:

  • Stay updated on aviation insurance market trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Administration & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and communications.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA, FAA, EASA).

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Aviation, Insurance, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) or equivalent qualification (or working towards it).

Experience and Skills:

  • 6–9 years of experience in insurance broking, ideally within aviation or a related specialty.
  • Strong understanding of aviation insurance products and markets.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • Familiarity with global aviation regulations and insurance standards.
