Waitress/Cashier

We are looking for a hardworking, trustworthy Waitress/Cashier. Must have Restaurant/Cafe experience in UAE

The ideal candidate should have excellent Customer Service Skills and should be able to process all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with our policies and procedures. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives.

As part of the cashiering aspect, you should be responsible for calculations involving cash, credit card, separating checks, table changes etc.

Should be capable of serving each visitor respectfully, swiftly and effectively with an honest, positive, friendly and exuberant attitude. May need to perform smaller tasks to assist other personnel in quickly rounding up and closing the Café for the night.

Job Description:

· Great guests when entering and leaving the Cafe.

· Learn menu items and be able to describe them appropriately to guests.

· Take beverage and food orders.

· Deliver beverages and food in a timely manner.

· Check-in with guests to ensure that everything is going well.

· Clear dirty dishes from table.

· The ability to up-sell.

· Deliver guest's bill and thank them for dining at the restaurant.

· Waitresses must be on their feet for long periods of time.

· Take customer orders at the counter.

• Receive payments and present change to customers.
• Function as the host/hostess of the restaurant if and when required.
• Receive food checks from waiters or customers.
• Issue receipts, refunds or change.
• Redeem coupons
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.
• Appeal to impatient or irritated customers, especially during rush hours.
• Manage the register, including all credit card and cash operations.
• Ensure a balance of the register at the end of the shift or working period.
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout area.
• Bag, box or wrap packages if required.
• Review the balances/contents of the till at the start and end of the working period to ensure accuracy in calculations.
• Ability to work with flexibility in a continuous schedule of open or closing shifts, holidays and weekends·.

· Effective communication skills with guests and staff.

· Ability to lift heavy trays filled with glassware/food.

· Basic math skills.

· Great attention to detail.

· Work with other servers and be a team player

· Always maintain a cool head and deal tactfully with difficult situations.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills.

· The ability to work with all levels of internal staff and customers.

Required Skills:

This will suit someone who's got bags of stamina and enjoys the fast pace of a busy restaurant. You also need to be able to stay calm and work as part of a team during a busy service. Making guests feel comfortable and welcomed at a restaurant really makes all the difference. Make sure you do the following at each table.

Smile.

Greet and welcome guests.

Introduce yourself.

Describe and explain the menu.

Talk about specials

Be attentive to the guests needs and do not let them feel like they are being neglected.

Thank them and wish them a good day when they are leaving
