CSCEC Steel (Middle East)is recruiting a
Qualified Steel Structure Design Coordinator

Duty and responsibilities

  1. Coordinate with structural engineers, drafters, and design consultants to ensure timely and accurate delivery of design drawings.

  2. Review and verify shop drawings for compliance with connection designs, and calculation reports, project requirements and applicable codes (e.g., AISC, BS, Eurocode).

  3. Identify clashes or discrepancies between architectural, structural, and MEP designs and propose workable solutions.

-Technical Oversight:

  1. Lead the resolution of detailing queries related to fabrication and erection, including fabrication workmanship, site coordinate, erection temporary works.

  2. Ensure design outputs are constructible and optimized for fabrication and erection.

Coordination with Other Departments:

  1. Act as the main liaison between the design team and project stakeholders including fabrication, procurement, QA/QC, and construction teams.

  2. Provide technical support during the fabrication and erection stages, including handling site modifications or design clarifications (RFIs).

Documentation & Control:

  1. Maintain up-to-date design documentation and coordinate submissions for consultant/authority approval.

2.Track design deliverables against the project schedule and report risks or delays.

Compliance:

  1. Ensure all designs adhere to relevant standards, specifications, and client requirements.

  2. Support internal and external audits or inspections related to structural design.

Qualifications

  1. Requirements on Education Background: Bachelor Degree,
    Major in Civil Engineering

  2. Requirements on working experience: Minimum
    7 years working experience
    on steel structure detailing work, 2 or more senior modeler experiences of large-scale project, familiar with BIM software.

  3. Requirements on Qualification Certificates: Intermediate (including) more professional and technical titles or hold a qualification certificate for a level builder.

  4. Other Requirements: Fluent in English, Expert on TEKLA, familiar with BIM software
