Job Summary:

The IT Internal Audit Specialist is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of IT governance, risk management, and control processes. This role ensures that IT systems, infrastructure, and applications operate securely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Audit Planning & Execution:
  • Develop, execute, and report on IT audit plans in line with organizational risk assessments.
  • Evaluate IT processes, systems, and controls for adequacy and effectiveness.
  • Conduct risk-based audits covering areas such as cybersecurity, access management, application controls, data integrity, IT operations, and disaster recovery.
  • Risk Assessment & Control Evaluation:
  • Identify IT risks and assess potential impacts on business objectives.
  • Review policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance IT governance and internal controls.
  • Collaboration & Advisory:
  • Work closely with IT and business units to understand processes, systems, and emerging technology risks.
  • Provide guidance on IT control implementation and best practices.
  • Support management in developing remediation plans for identified deficiencies.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Prepare audit reports with findings, risk implications, and recommendations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of audit processes, testing, and results.
  • Present audit findings to senior management and audit committees as required.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay up-to-date on IT audit standards, frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST), and emerging technologies.
  • Suggest enhancements to audit methodologies and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in IT audit, IT risk, or IT control environments; experience with ERP systems, cloud computing, or cybersecurity is a plus.
  • Certifications (preferred):
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10, AED12,000.00 per month
