Position Overview:

Sharjah American International School (SAIS), is seeking a highly qualified and experienced
Head of Kindergarten
to lead our early childhood education program. The successful candidate will oversee the Kindergarten team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality curriculum that meets the developmental needs of young learners. The role involves providing leadership and support to staff, coordinating activities, and fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that encourages children's growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Kindergarten program, ensuring that all educational and developmental goals are met.
  • Supervise and mentor Kindergarten teachers, guiding curriculum planning, classroom management, and best teaching practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching methods and learning outcomes.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment where young children can thrive.
  • Coordinate with school leadership to align the Kindergarten program with overall school policies and standards.
  • Develop and implement programs and activities that support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children.
  • Engage with parents regularly to communicate students' progress and address any concerns.
  • Organize and participate in Kindergarten events, activities, and professional development workshops.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and educational regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Teaching diploma or recognized teaching qualification in early childhood education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Kindergarten teaching role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A deep understanding of early childhood development and best educational practices.
  • Ability to inspire and guide a team of educators while promoting a collaborative and child-centered environment.

  • Two recommendation letters from previous employers.
  • Degree certificate and transcript, attested by the Ministry of Education from the country of issue, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and UAE Embassy.
