The successful candidate will demonstrate an unwavering commitment to clinical excellence and patient care while working closely with other specialists in our state-of-the-art facilities.
Essential Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients and develop individualized surgical treatment plans.
- Execute a variety of cardiac procedures, including but not limited to coronary artery bypass surgery, valve replacement, and heart transplant surgeries.
- Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, surgical risks, and expected recovery timelines.
- Engage in continuous education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in cardiac surgery.
- Participate in research activities aimed at improving surgical procedures and patient outcomes.
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation for all patient interactions and surgical cases in compliance with medical regulations.
Requirements
Requirements:- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of residency in General Surgery followed by a fellowship in Cardiac Surgery.
- Board certification in Cardiac Surgery is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of surgical experience in a cardiac surgery setting.
- Extensive knowledge of various cardiac surgical techniques and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.
- Ability to make critical decisions and maintain composure in high-pressure environments.
- Current and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and quality assurance in surgical practices.
