Job TitleMaterial Engineer Infrastructure Parsons Corporation Dubai, UAEbr>Job DescriptionMaterial Engineer Infrastructure Parsons Corporation Dubai, UAEKey ResponsibilitiesReview project specifications, drawings, and design documents to determine material requirementsRecommend suitable construction materials based on technical specifications, environmental conditions, durability, and cost considerationsEnsure all selected materials comply with applicable standards such as ASTM, BS, ISO, and client requirementsDevelop and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures for materials used on the projectConduct inspections and oversee testing of materials to verify compliance with approved standards and specificationsApprove or reject materials based on test results, inspection findings, and project requirementsMonitor material quality during manufacturing, delivery, storage, and installation on siteOversee laboratory and on-site testing of concrete, asphalt, steel, soil, aggregates, and other construction materialsReview and approve material test reports, certificates of compliance, and technical documentationIdentify, document, and manage non-conforming materials and ensure timely corrective actionsCoordinate with procurement teams to source materials from approved suppliers and evaluate vendor performanceConduct supplier and manufacturer audits to verify compliance with quality standardsIdentify opportunities to optimize material usage, reduce waste, and recommend cost-effective alternatives without compromising qualityMonitor material costs and ensure alignment with project budgetsMaintain accurate records of material approvals, test results, inspections, and quality control activitiesPrepare and submit regular material quality and compliance reports to project managementLiaise with regulatory authorities and certification bodies as required to ensure compliance with standards and regulationsProvide technical support to design engineers, site teams, and contractors on material-related mattersInvestigate material defects, failures, or non-conformances and recommend preventive and corrective measuresSupport training and mentoring of junior engineers, technicians, and site staff on material quality practicesDesired Candidate ProfileIdeal ProfileBachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering disciplineMinimum 12 years of construction experience, including at least 5 years on large-scale infrastructure projects in the UAEStrong knowledge of construction material properties, testing methods, and international standardsProven ability to analyze test data, identify material issues, and recommend effective solutionsExperience with quality management systems, material testing software, and project documentation toolsStrong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholdersDemonstrated problem-solving skills in addressing material-related challenges
