Position Summary

The
Joinery Estimator
will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for joinery and interior woodwork packages, including cabinetry, wardrobes, doors, wall paneling, and bespoke furniture. The role requires close coordination with design, production, procurement, and project teams to ensure cost-effective and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review architectural, interior design, and shop drawings to prepare accurate joinery cost estimates
  • Prepare detailed BOQs, budgets, and pricing for joinery and woodwork packages
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and material requirements for custom joinery works
  • Source, evaluate, and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations for timber, hardware, finishes, and accessories
  • Coordinate with design, production, and project teams to ensure accuracy and constructability
  • Prepare tender submissions, clarifications, and supporting documentation
  • Evaluate project risks, site conditions, and fabrication constraints impacting cost and schedule
  • Support value engineering by proposing cost-effective materials, finishes, and construction methods
  • Maintain updated cost databases, market rates, and historical joinery project data
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and design coordination as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in joinery / interior fit-out projects in the UAE
  • Strong knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, hardware, and local market pricing
  • Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software such as Plan Swift
    , AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications accurately
  • Strong communication, coordination, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight tender deadlines
