Electrical Site Engineer – EV Charger Installations

EMAGINE is the UAE's leading EV charger installation company and the exclusive installer for prestigious automotive brands such as Mercedes EMC, Audi, Lotus, Lucid, Xpeng, Geely, Exeed, and more. We are the oldest Tesla-certified installer in the country and are currently expanding our team to meet growing demand in the EV infrastructure sector.

Responsibilities:

· Supervise and execute installation of electric vehicle (EV) chargers at residential, commercial, and public sites.

· Conduct site visits, technical assessments, and pre-installation surveys.

· Coordinate with project managers, clients, and internal teams for scheduling and execution.

· Prepare and interpret Load schedule and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and technical drawings.

· IT/Networking skills to integrate charger with backend system.

· Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks including cable testing, insulation resistance, earth loop impedance, and RCD tests.

· Manage and guide team of technicians to ensure work is done safely, efficiently, and as per standards.

· Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and DEWA standards.

· Prepare reports, document installations, and update project progress.

· Ensure proper material handling and requisition forms before and after job completion.

· Maintain communication with clients for follow-up and after-sales support.

· Travel to various sites across the UAE as per the project schedule and site requirement.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

· Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in electrical installation, preferably in EV chargers, power systems, or MEP projects.

· Proven knowledge of LV systems, cable sizing, circuit protection, and electrical load distribution.

· Strong understanding of DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, and FEWA regulations and approval procedures.

· Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, load schedules, and single-line diagrams (SLD).

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for handling on-site electrical faults.

· Understanding of HSE practices and ability to enforce safety standards on-site.

· Ability to lead technicians, manage subcontractors, and work independently under minimal supervision.

· UAE driving license is mandatory.

· Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and familiarity with reporting tools and formats.
