Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our accounting firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and supporting multiple clients with their financial reporting needs. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliation, and tax filings.
  • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Handle VAT calculations, filing, and compliance with UAE tax laws.
  • Provide accounting and financial advisory services to clients, including bookkeeping, financial planning, and budgeting assistance.
  • Assist in external and internal audits by preparing necessary documentation and financial reports.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for clients.
  • Analyze financial data and generate reports to support client decision-making.
  • Collaborate with clients to address financial inquiries and provide professional guidance.
  • Support junior accountants in their professional growth by providing training and mentorship.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within an accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and at least basic UAE tax regulations.
  • Knowledge in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Tally) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Experience in audit and financial advisory services is a plus.
