The role involves overseeing facility and building construction activities, including depots, Main Power Substations (MPS), and Traction Power Substations (TPS), ensuring that all works meet contract specifications, quality requirements, and safety standards within a major rail infrastructure ;Job DetailsCountry: UAEbr>City: Dubaibr>Industry: Civil Engineeringbr>Function: Constructionbr>Job Type: Full-timebr>Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, standards, and project requirements.Conduct and witness civil and structural tests such as soil compaction, concrete slump, compression strength, and aggregate gradation.Inspect foundation installations for depot buildings, MPS, and TPS to ensure correct alignment and bearing capacity.Monitor structural steel fabrication, welding, and erection to ensure compliance with approved drawings and codes.Oversee painting and insulation applications, ensuring proper coverage and material compliance.Validate contractor s quality control documentation, test results, and inspection reports.Supervise construction labor and subcontractors to ensure adherence to quality, workmanship, and safety standards.Witness and administer welder qualification tests and verify certification compliance.Conduct visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and structural integrity checks on site.Record and report non-conformances, site issues, and deviations from approved procedures.Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues promptly.Support the implementation of site safety practices and participate in safety audits.Maintain accurate inspection logs, progress records, and quality documentation.Skills SetStructural and civil inspectionConcrete and steel testingQuality assurance and documentationWelding inspection and certification complianceConstruction safety monitoringRail infrastructure supervisionSite coordination and reportingNon-conformance and corrective action managementWhy Join UsWork on one of Dubai s most advanced rail infrastructure programs.Be part of a global leader known for engineering excellence and technical innovation.Collaborative work environment with opportunities for training and career growth.Competitive compensation and strong commitment to employee wellbeing and safety.Desired Candidate ProfileBachelor s degree or diploma in Civil or Construction Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of relevant experience for degree holders or 7+ years for diploma holders in facility or building construction supervision. Proven experience in rail infrastructure projects, especially in depot, substation, or maintenance facility structures. Strong understanding of concrete, steel, and foundation construction methods. Knowledge of QA/QC inspection procedures and safety regulations for large infrastructure works. Certification in welding, concrete, or structural inspection is highly desirable. Excellent interpretation skills for blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications. Proficient in MS Office and familiar with construction management software. Effective communication, teamwork, and site coordination abilities.
