We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented
Quality Engineer
to oversee and enhance quality standards across the entire fresh produce value chain from cultivation to post-harvest handling, packaging, and dispatch. The role ensures compliance with international food safety standards and UAE regulatory requirements, driving continuous improvement in product quality, safety, and traceability.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems aligned with GLOBALG.A.P., HACCP, ISO 22000, and local food safety regulations.
  • Monitor crop quality at all stages pre-harvest, harvest, and post-harvest ensuring adherence to defined product specifications.
  • Supervise post-harvest operations including sorting, grading, cooling, packaging, and storage.
  • Oversee warehouse hygiene, water quality, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate regulatory compliance and certification processes, including GLOBALG.A.P, HACCP, ISO 22000, and Organic certifications.
  • Conduct supplier audits and verify compliance with product and safety standards.
  • Maintain traceability documentation from seed to shipment, ensuring accurate records and audit readiness.
  • Deliver training programs to promote a culture of quality, hygiene, and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze inspection data to identify trends, drive corrective actions, and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Botany, Food Science, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in farm quality control, QA/QC, crop production, or post-harvest handling.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE agricultural regulations and international quality standards (GLOBALG.A.P., HACCP, ISO

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and team coordination skills.
