Role Overview

We are looking for a Tax Consultant – Corporate Tax & VAT to join our Tax Advisory team. The role involves delivering a broad range of corporate tax advisory, VAT advisory, and compliance services to clients operating in the UAE and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Tax & VAT Advisory

• Provide end-to-end Corporate Tax and VAT advisory and compliance services to clients across various sectors.
• Support clients in understanding and meeting UAE Corporate Tax regulations, Free Zone rules, and related legislative updates.
• Assist in reviewing financial statements, tax positions, and transactions to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
• Advise on tax planning, business restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, and cross-border transactions.

Compliance & Technical Expertise

• Prepare and review Corporate Tax returns, VAT returns, tax computations, and supporting documentation.
• Assist clients in addressing queries from FTA, audits, assessments, and tax disputes.
• Keep updated on regulatory changes, BEPS 2.0, Transfer Pricing requirements, ESR, CbCR, and international tax developments.

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain long-term client relationships through timely communication, efficient delivery, and consistent service quality.
• Support senior managers in managing complex tax projects and delivering client presentations and reports.

Business Development & Internal Support

• Support managers in proposal writing, responding to RFPs, preparing memos, presentations, and tax technical notes.
• Assist in identifying opportunities across service lines and participate in cross-functional initiatives.
• Conduct preliminary conflict checks and support compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Project Management

• Manage multiple engagements simultaneously by preparing work trackers, project schedules, and responsibility matrices.
• Ensure timely delivery, documentation accuracy, and adherence to internal quality standards.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent, along with a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a reputed accounting or consulting firm, preferably with multi-jurisdictional exposure.

Key Skills & Attributes

• Solid understanding of UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, ESR, Transfer Pricing, BEPS 2.0, and CbCR (preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legislation and provide practical solutions.
• Excellent communication, business writing, and Excel skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines, handle multiple clients, and work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Knowledge of UAE legal and regulatory frameworks, including free zone operations and licensing rules.
