QA/QC Engineer (Electrical)

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer (Electrical) with 5 years of proven experience to oversee and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures for electrical systems, equipment, and project deliverables. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements, while supporting continuous improvement across all project stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance (QA)
  • Develop, implement, and maintain QA procedures, inspection plans, and quality manuals specific to electrical works.
  • Review electrical drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation for compliance with standards.
  • Coordinate material approvals, vendor qualification processes, and engineering submittals.
  • Ensure project quality objectives are met and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Control (QC)
  • Perform inspections on electrical installations including cable laying, termination, grounding, lighting, panels, switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
  • Conduct and document site inspections, tests, and commissioning activities as per approved ITPs and standards.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain updated QA/QC logs, inspection reports, test results, and quality records.

Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in project meetings related to quality, safety, and technical compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance to site teams and ensure quality awareness training.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly QC reports for project management and client representatives.
  • Assist in quality audits and ensure closure of audit findings.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in QA/QC roles within electrical, construction, industrial, or power projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation practices, and testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC standards (ISO 9001) and electrical standards .
  • Proficient in reading electrical drawings and using QA/QC software/tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.
