Role Overview

The BD Engineer will play a key role in assisting the Business Development team by managing technical and commercial documentation, handling pre-qualification requirements, and communicating with customers for heat exchanger manufacturing projects. The role requires sound knowledge of heat exchanger manufacturing processes, ERP systems, and industry-specific commercial terms, with strong exposure to the Oil & Gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Business Development team in preparing and submitting proposals, quotations, tenders, and pre-qualification documents.
  • Manage and update all sales records accurately in the ERP system.
  • Review and interpret customer specifications, datasheets, scope of work, and commercial terms & conditions.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Design, Production, QA/QC, and Procurement to gather technical and cost-related information.
  • Ensure that all submissions comply with ASME codes, industry standards, and ISO requirements.
  • Assist with basic market research and maintain awareness of GCC market trends (preferred).
  • Support customer relationship management by responding to queries and providing required documentation.
  • Maintain technical and commercial documentation for tenders, contracts, and proposals.
  • Track opportunities, inquiries, quotations, and follow-ups to support BD targets.

Technical Skills

  • 5 - 7 years of proven experience in strong understanding of
    heat exchangers
    , ASME codes, and relevant manufacturing standards.
  • Proficiency in
    MS Office
    (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Hands-on experience working with
    ERP systems
    for sales and project tracking.
  • Good understanding of
    commercial terms, contractual conditions, and tender requirements
