Hiring – Senior Design Engineer | Projects Engineering

Location: Dubai, UAE

We're seeking a skilled and motivated
Senior Design Engineer
to join our client's Projects Engineering team in Dubai.

The ideal candidate will lead a team of designers, manage design deliverables, and ensure engineering excellence across skid mounted package projects.

You'll play a key role in planning, reviewing, and executing 3D modeling and detailed engineering activities while ensuring compliance with company standards and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and guide a team of Designers / Senior Designers through project design phases.

Prepare man-hour estimates and oversee project work plans and delivery schedules.

Review technical requirements and prepare project specification documents.

Attend and represent the design team in all project meetings.

Coordinate with Project Engineers (PE) for design documentation, scheduling, and completion.

Create piping specifications in CADWorx and set up drawing templates per project/DMS standards.

Prepare preliminary skid layouts and guide designers in 3D modeling and fabrication drawings.

Conduct 3D model review meetings with project team members.

Review and verify design documents prepared by team members.

Attend client meetings and respond to technical queries.

Ensure compliance with QMS procedures, ASME U Stamp, and OHSAS requirements.

Coordinate with sub-vendors for outsourced design activities.

Mentor, coach, and motivate the design team to ensure project success.

Research and recommend new design tools or software to enhance automation and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (with a strong academic record and minimum 3 years of relevant experience), or

  • DME with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Proven experience in detailed engineering of pressure vessels, storage tanks, and packaged equipment.

  • Strong understanding of piping layout concepts and structural detail drawing review.

  • Good knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and international codes & standards.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines.

Proficiency in:

3D Design Software: CADWorx, PDMS, or equivalent

2D Drafting Tools: AutoCAD, MicroStation, or equivalent
