Job Title: Draughtsman – Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm Systems

Location: Abu Dhabi

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed shop drawings, design layouts, and as-built drawings for fire fighting systems (e.g., fire sprinklers, hydrants, FM200, CO₂, etc.) using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
  • Coordinate with project engineers and site teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Interpret MEP, architectural, and structural drawings to develop coordinated fire system layouts.
  • Review and revise drawings as per client comments or site changes.
  • Maintain organized drawing records and project documentation.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with local fire codes, NFPA standards, and relevant authority regulations.
  • Assist in BOQ preparation and material submittals if required.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a draughtsman, preferably in the fire protection industry.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (2D mandatory, 3D is a plus).
  • Knowledge of NFPA, UAE Fire Code, or other regional standards is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and coordination skills
