About the Project:

Join our team on the Al Mamsha Seerah Project, a high-profile residential development in Sharjah. The Construction Manager will oversee the planning, organization, and supervision of utilities and construction works, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to manage all aspects of construction operations on-site. The role involves coordinating multiple teams, ensuring adherence to project schedules, maintaining quality standards, and implementing EHS and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all construction activities to meet project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
  • Monitor daily progress and report issues to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure all workers complete necessary safety inductions and comply with EHS standards.
  • Review drawings, method statements, and ensure proper briefing to the team prior to commencement of works.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC to resolve non-conformance issues and maintain quality standards.
  • Manage procurement, construction processes, and site resources efficiently.
  • Organize project execution plans, schedules, and inspections, ensuring adherence to quality and safety protocols.
  • Implement project accounting systems and support cost management and budget control.
  • Compile project completion data and assist in final account preparation.
  • Prepare and maintain site daily reports, progress charts, and monthly payment applications.

EHS Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor EHS Construction Management Plan (CMP) on-site.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, Toolbox meetings, and safety inductions for all staff.
  • Ensure all equipment, plants, and vehicles undergo preventive maintenance and inspections.
  • Implement PTW (Permit to Work) system and risk assessments for site activities.
  • Report EHS incidents immediately to the Project EHS Manager and take corrective action.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company safety policies.

Other Duties:

  • Attend meetings with clients, consultants, and internal departments as required.
  • Review and certify subcontractors' claims.
  • Ensure correct and up-to-date drawings are used for all construction activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure project success.

Key Interactions:

  • Coordinate materials, machinery, equipment, and labor for construction works.
  • Liaise with Technical, Procurement, Laboratory, Stores, Workshop, Plant, Safety, and Quality departments to avoid disruptions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth execution of construction activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven10+years of experience as a Construction Manager on large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, QA/QC standards, and EHS regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
