Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor cum Estimator with solid UAE experience in interior design, fit-out, and joinery projects. The ideal candidate needs to be responsible for managing all cost estimation, tendering, and commercial activities from project inception to completion, ensuring accuracy, profitability, and compliance with project and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Estimation & Tendering

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for interior fit-out and joinery works.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and material schedules to prepare accurate quantity take-offs.
  • Obtain, analyze, and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit cost comparisons and tender summaries for management review.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Prepare project budgets and assist in pricing variations.

2. Post-Contract & Cost Control

  • Manage cost control throughout project execution to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Prepare interim payment applications, variation claims, and final accounts.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier invoices and prepare payment certifications.
  • Support project managers with cost forecasting, cash flow, and financial reports.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all commercial activities and contractual correspondence.

3. Coordination & Reporting

  • Collaborate with design, procurement, and project execution teams to align cost and schedule objectives.
  • Attend client and consultant meetings related to commercial and contractual matters.
  • Advise management on contractual risks, potential cost overruns, and commercial opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of UAE experience specifically in interior fit-out / joinery estimation and QS functions.

Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, and market rates in the UAE.

Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions (FIDIC and local contracts).

Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
