We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator/QS Fitout with a strong background in the fitout and interiors field, particularly within the UAE market. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 YEARS OF relevant experience in estimating and quantity surveying for fit-out and interior projects in UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- All stages of an estimate including: project selection, estimate organization, take-off, pricing, review and closeout.
- Communicate project progress/status with Management.
- Prepare, analyze and maintain accurate quantities and thorough take offs from plans.
- Manage and co-ordinate projects.
- Estimate the cost of materials, time, labour, and equipment for construction projects, using contract bids, quotations, drawings and specifications
- Decide how the tendering procedure will work, recommend tenders and conduct negotiations.
- Keep track of the project's costs and budget
- Work with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors
- Estimating costs for structural, electrical or mechanical construction projects
- Have a detailed and comprehensive knowledge of construction and construction methods.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
- Use computer spreadsheets and databases as well as estimating, take-off, and scheduling software.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating and quantity surveying, with a focus on fitout and interior projects in the UAE.
- Extensive experience as an estimator in the construction or Fitout field.
- Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Brilliant management and negotiation skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in cost estimation and reporting.
- Strong command over English language, for both verbal and written communications
