Hse (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer

Job Purpose:
We are constriction company looking for HSE Officer is responsible for promoting and ensuring a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance with safety programs, regulations, and best practices. The position involves identifying risks, training employees, conducting inspections, and fostering a safety-oriented culture within the organization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- HSE certification, such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent, is highly desirable.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in construction and maintenance facility.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Health and Safety Compliance**:

- Monitor compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards, environmental regulations, and corporate safety policies.
- Ensure all safety-related activities are compliant with local, regional, and national laws.
- **Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification**:

- Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement effective risk control measures.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend measures to prevent future occurrences.
- **Safety Training and Awareness**:

- Develop and deliver HSE training programs, workshops, and toolbox talks to employees and contractors.
- Educate the workforce on emergency procedures, safe working practices, and proper use of safety equipment.
- **Incident Reporting and Investigation**:

- Coordinate and conduct incident investigations, determine root causes, and document findings in accordance with HSE policies.
- Communicate investigation outcomes and work on corrective action plans with relevant departments.
- **Environmental Management**:

- Implement programs to minimize environmental impact, manage waste disposal, and promote eco-friendly practices.
- Monitor environmental performance and compliance with environmental policies and procedures.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of safety audits, inspections, training sessions, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to management on HSE performance, issues, and action items.
- **Emergency Preparedness and Response**:

- Develop and update emergency response plans and ensure that all employees are trained to respond effectively.
- Organize drills and exercises to test emergency response procedures.
- **Safety Culture and Continuous Improvement**:

- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety practices and enhance employee engagement in health and safety initiatives.

**Skills**:

- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and engage others.
- Ability to conduct thorough investigations, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
- Proficiency in using HSE management systems, MS Office Suite, and data analysis for reporting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

- Primarily on-site in various work environments, potentially in high-risk areas.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as required.

- Reduction in incident and accident rates.
- Timeliness and accuracy of incident reporting and investigation.
- Completion rate of required safety training sessions.
- Compliance audit score and effectiveness of corrective actions.

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
