Outstanding Deputy Headteacher

Kings’ School Nad Al Sheba is seeking an exceptional Deputy Headteacher, with a dynamic vision, aspirational drive and commitment to our school community, and a proven record of successfully leading school improvement.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead outstanding learning and teaching across the Foundation Stage and Primary years; setting high expectations for all robustly monitoring standards of teaching, learning and assessment across the school.
- Support and contribute to our professional development programme in order to deliver consistently high standards of teaching and learning.
- Lead on a culture of aspiration and achievement in all aspects of our school.
- Positively contribute to our culture of community in all aspects of school improvement.
- Continuously review the effectiveness and adapt our curriculum to ensure that it meets the needs of all learners, whilst also supporting the school’s values.
- Provide professional mentorship and guidance to the wider leadership team, including middle leaders and Assistant Headteachers.
- Inspire and support the induction of new teachers.
- Set clear expectations for highly effective learning environments.
- Lead on the analysis of data, and monitor student progress, taking action as necessary to ensure The Best By Every Child.
- Plan and share responsibilities for assemblies with Assistant Headteachers, to ensure our school values, Emirati culture and Islamic values shine through our school’s pastoral programme.
- Across all staff members, be a positive role model, demonstrating positive contribution to our uniquely successful and ambitious school.
- Lead our exceptional safeguarding practices and continuously review the effectiveness of our safeguarding systems.
- Promote and model exceptionally high levels of student well-being, student care and support.
- Innovate, monitor, support and track staff and student well-being.

**Essential qualifications, skills and experience include**:

- Bachelors degree in education / with related specialism.
- Postgraduate teaching qualification / QTS.
- Educational Management qualification.
- Recent experience and knowledge of international accreditation, inspection, and evaluation frameworks (e.g. DSIB / KHDA / BSO).
- Minimum 3 years’ senior leadership experience across foundation stage and primary years in a British curriculum school.
- An inspirational teacher and practitioner across primary years.
- Experience of leading school initiatives that have led to demonstrable improvement in standards and achievement.
- Experience in curriculum development, implementation, and assessment strategies.
- Demonstratable success in prioritising, planning and leading school improvement.
- Excellent communication skills with staff, students, parents, and stakeholders.
- Building strong relationships within the school community to continuously champion and nurture our highly-inclusive environment.
- Be able to generate creative solutions to overcome barriers to success.
- Be able to innovate their own and others' practice to meet ever-increasing expectations.
