**Key Responsibilities**:
**Guest Services**:
- Perform check-in and check-out services for late-arriving or early-departing guests.
- Handle guest requests and provide assistance with inquiries or issues.
- Process reservations or cancellations as needed.
- Offer concierge services such as recommendations for dining, entertainment, and transportation.
- **Nightly Audits and Reporting**:
- Reconcile and balance all financial transactions from the day, including room charges, credit card transactions, and cash payments.
- Prepare daily financial reports (e.g., income audit, revenue summary, cash flow) and submit them to the accounting department or management.
- Ensure all departments (e.g., front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage) have accurately recorded their financial activity.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- **Safety and Security**:
- Monitor the hotel premises to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff.
- Respond to emergencies, such as fire alarms or guest concerns, in accordance with hotel policies.
- Coordinate with the security team to ensure the property is secured throughout the night.
- **Operational Duties**:
- Oversee the night shift team, including front desk agents, bell staff, or security personnel.
- Ensure all night staff perform their duties efficiently.
- Review and process any pending paperwork or unresolved issues from the day shift.
- Set up and prepare for the next day's operations, including generating reports for the management team.
- **Technology and Software**:
- Proficiently operate hotel management systems (PMS), such as Opera or Micros.
- Manage guest folios, room inventory, and reservations through the hotel’s software.
- **Customer Service**:
- Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Handle complaints or feedback professionally, aiming to resolve issues by the time day staff arrives.
- **General Accounting**:
- Post charges to guest accounts.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable, when applicable.
- Prepare cash deposits and ensure the accuracy of the hotel's cash on hand.
