Principal Architect

**Role**

The Lead Cloud Solutions Architect is a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for driving the design and implementation of our cloud-based solutions to meet customer needs. They will lead a team of architects and collaborate with sales, technical, and executive teams to design strategic solutions for potential clients. Their role will include presenting the value and design of proposed solutions to prospective clients and ensuring that our cloud strategies align with the organization's growth objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the creation and presentation of cloud-based solutions tailored to potential clients' specific needs, demonstrating their value and aligning them with the clients' objectives.
- Lead a team of cloud architects to design innovative cloud strategies that align with the business development goals of the organization.
- Collaborate with sales and technical teams to provide technical leadership and guidance during the pre-sales process.
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into suitable cloud solutions. Participate in discussions and meetings with prospective clients.
- Stay current with industry trends and cloud technology advancements, leveraging this knowledge to provide prospective clients with innovative solutions.
- Evaluate and select vendors and software for various cloud services.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation and design artifacts to be used in pre-sales activities.
- Mentor and train team members on cloud technologies and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and policies in proposed designs.
- Assist in creating compelling sales proposals and presentations.

Qualifications:
**To qualify, you must have**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT with a focus on cloud environments, including experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect or similar role.
- Proven experience in a pre-sales role, with a strong track record of designing and presenting successful cloud solutions.
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture and design in multi-cloud environments.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of technical professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Certifications in cloud technologies such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert is preferred.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and agile methodologies.
- Understanding of IT security and governance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically and analytically.
- Preferred but not required: Experience with big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and data management.
