1.0 Job Title : Quantity Surveyor (MEP)

2.0 **Department**: Contracting Dept.

3.0 **Reporting To**: Estimation Engineer

4.0 **Receiving Reports From**: Quantity Surveyor

5.0 **Main Function**:
Maintain cost control methods across ongoing projects. Ensure that projects are delivered according to budget, while achieving set quality standards.

6.0 **Duties and Responsibilities**:
6.1 Assess and report on all cost control task relating to MEP services and major infrastructure works.

6.2 Maintain appropriate methods and procedures to cover project planning, project cost estimating, project cost control and project budget preparation and administration, ensuring alignment of all methods and procedures with the Department Manager, Project Controls & Planning.

6.3 Coordinate with the Department Manager, Project Controls & Planning to develop detailed periodic project budget performance.

6.4 Work closely with the Procurement Department and provide advice and input on procurement strategy for ongoing developments; assist the Procurement Department in preparing tender documents and in detailing bills of quantities for all projects.

6.5 Continuously work to advance the use of best-practice tools for cost and project implementation monitoring in all project cost related queries.

6.6 Act as a point of contact for specific project-related departments as well as contractors and consultants on all project cost related queries.

6.7 Maintain awareness of the different types building contracts used in the construction industry and understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

6.8 Generate regular progress and status report to Department Manager, Project Controls & Planning.

6.10 Undertake costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work.

7.0 **Qualifications**: Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineer

9.3 Excellent planning and organization skills
