The Role
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives and budget requirements. - Identify and select reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality products. - Monitor and analyse market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise the procurement process. - Collaborate with project managers and other departments to determine material needs and specifications for each project. - Manage the procurement budget and provide regular reports on expenditure and cost savings. - Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support project timelines. - Oversee the entire procurement process, from sourcing to delivery, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. - Develop and maintain a database of suppliers, products, and prices to facilitate efficient decision-making. - Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and take corrective actions when necessary. - Stay updated on industry trends and new products to improve the procurement process continually.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, Engineering or a related field. - Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement in the construction industry. - Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software. - Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supply chain management. - Knowledge of UAE laws and regulations related to procurement. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. - Strong leadership and team management skills.
