We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Automation Head to lead our automation department in the marine industry. As the Marine Automation Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation systems on board marine vessels. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure that automation systems meet safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the development and implementation of automation solutions for marine vessels, including propulsion, navigation, and control systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate automation systems into vessel designs, ensuring seamless operation and performance.
- Manage a team of automation engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation systems, both remotely and onsite.
- Stay current with advancements in marine automation technology and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Coordinate with external vendors and partners to source components and equipment for automation systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including manuals, procedures, and specifications, related to automation systems.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in marine automation, with a proven track record of successful project management.
- Strong technical expertise in automation systems, PLC programming, SCADA systems, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of marine industry regulations and standards, such as ABS, DNV, and IMO requirements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile or Six Sigma.
- Ability to travel to various locations as needed for project installations and support.
