Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician

Our client, a prominent and world renowned specialty hospital, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is currently looking to employ a **US Board Certified** **Physical and Rehabilitation physician/doctor or Physiatrist** to join their growing team. This hospital is closely affiliated with one of the worlds best regarded rehabilitation hospitals, based in Chicago, United States.
Primary duties include to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons.
**Core duties**:
Designing comprehensive, patient-centered treatment plans together with members of the care team.
Utilize cutting-edge as well as time-tested treatments to maximize function and quality of life for patients, who can range in age from infants to octogenarians.
Responsible for PM&R in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Be specialized in the musculoskeletal, neurological, rheumatological and cardiovascular systems.
Diagnose spinal cord injury, brain injury (traumatic and non-traumatic), stroke, multiple sclerosis, polio, burn care, and musculoskeletal and pediatric rehabilitation.
Utilize collaborative team skills and work with allied health therapists (e.g., physical, occupational and speech) to manage these issues.
Manage nonsurgical conditions including orthopedic injuries, spine-related pain and dysfunction, occupational injuries and overuse syndromes, neurogenic bowel/bladder, pressure sore management, spasticity management, and chronic pain.
