Bloomberg Intelligence - Middle East Consumer and TMT Analyst **Description & Requirements** Companies are the backbone of the stock and bond markets. Bloomberg Intelligence ("BI") conducts in-depth research on large and midsize companies to help investors effectively evaluate those companies. We analyze the unique attributes of each business, how it competes against other companies in its industry and how the business strategies and successes translate into financial results. BI research is a combination of written analysis accompanied by interactive charting and analytics created from company reported, industry and government data. Analysts review, check and curate this data into comprehensive and logically arranged dashboards to support their own research and to provide Bloomberg Terminal users a platform to view and analyze the data as well. We are looking for an equity analyst to cover the Middle East Consumer Telecom, Media and Technology (TMT) sectors. You will be part of a dynamic team of analysts that author company-specific, peer comparison and topical analysis of companies and trends within the broader sectors across the region. You are entrusted to deliver high-quality and differentiated content while also curating our data offering. **We'll trust you to**: - Use your industry knowledge across the TMT & Consumer sectors to actively create research on a regular basis - Monitor and interpret major company developments and identify macro themes and trends affecting the industries - Manage earnings cycle, including previews and reviews - Collaborate with our team of BI analysts and strategists located in New York, London, and Asia to coordinate and collaborate on analysis - Interact with investors, industry and market professionals, investor relations personnel, and senior management at target companies. - Work with Global Data teams to ensure data completeness and quality control for existing and new data sets of target companies - Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments and external market professionals **You'll need to have**: - Substantial experience in Equity Research, specializing in TMT & Consumer companies within the region - Proficiency in spoken and written English - Detailed knowledge of the Consumer and TMT sectors in the Middle East - Experience interpreting financial statements and performing quantitative financial analysis. - Knowledge of advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of finance and accounting. - Strong primary research and writing skills, with a focus on content in English. - Strong Excel and/or python programming skills. - Good verbal communication and presentation skills. - Self-starter, ambitious thinker and collaborative teammate. - Minimum of Bachelor's degree or proven experience **We'd love to see**: - Fluency in Arabic - CFA designation and/or MBA or other graduate degree Life at Bloomberg is many things, but it's never dull.
