Catering Supervisor

As a Catering Supervisor at Cedar Cheese Hospitality, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all catering operations within the company's establishments. Your primary focus will be to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of high-quality catering services, exceeding guest expectations and upholding the brand's standards of excellence. You will lead a team of catering staff, provide guidance and support, and maintain a positive working environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage Catering Operations: Coordinate and oversee all catering activities, including banquets, conferences, events, and room service, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train catering staff, including chefs, servers, and other personnel, ensuring they are knowledgeable, motivated, and adhere to company standards.
- Menu Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the Executive Chef and F&B team to develop menus, ensuring variety, quality, and adherence to guest preferences. Oversee the execution of menu items to maintain consistency and high culinary standards.
- Guest Satisfaction: Ensure exceptional guest service throughout the catering process, promptly addressing any concerns or issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Operational Efficiency: Optimize catering operations by monitoring inventory levels, controlling costs, and implementing effective resource allocation.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to all relevant food safety and health regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Budgeting and Reporting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the catering budget, analyzing financial data, and generating reports to support decision-making processes.
- Event Coordination: Collaborate with event planners and other departments to coordinate and execute flawless events, ensuring all catering requirements are met.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and new catering techniques, incorporating innovative ideas to enhance the guest experience and improve operational efficiency.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the catering or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, service standards, and culinary techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, and vendors.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency in using computer software and systems related to catering and event management.
