**Job Title: AC DuctmanKey Responsibilities**:

- **Installation of Ductwork**:

- Measure and install air conditioning ducts and related components, ensuring proper alignment, and compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Cut, shape, and assemble ducts, diffusers, and vents as required.
- Ensure that ducts are installed in accordance with HVAC system blueprints and specifications.
- **Maintenance and Repair**:

- Inspect, clean, and maintain existing duct systems, ensuring they are free of leaks and debris.
- Repair or replace damaged sections of ductwork.
- Ensure proper sealing of ducts to prevent air leaks and optimize system efficiency.
- **Testing and Balancing**:

- Test air flow and pressure in the ducts to ensure the system is functioning properly.
- Adjust air flow to meet the required standards for comfort and efficiency.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working with HVAC systems and tools.
- Ensure that the installation and maintenance work meets local codes, building codes, and health standards.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with HVAC technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth system operations.
- Provide clear communication about the progress of the work and any issues encountered during the installation or repair process.
- **Material Handling**:

- Handle and transport ducting materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Maintain an organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- **Troubleshooting**:

- Identify and diagnose issues within the ducting system and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Suggest improvements to the design or installation of ductwork for better performance or cost-effectiveness.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Technical Skills**: Knowledge of HVAC systems and ductwork installation processes, blueprint reading, and the ability to use tools such as saws, drills, and welding equipment.
- **Physical Fitness**: Ability to lift heavy materials and work in tight spaces or elevated areas.
- **Attention to Detail**: Precision in cutting and assembling ducts to ensure proper fit and function.
- **Safety Awareness**: Familiarity with safety standards and practices in construction and HVAC work.
- **Communication Skills**: Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with the team.

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in HVAC ductwork installation, maintenance, or construction (often 2-3 years).
- Certification or training in HVAC systems or ductwork installation may be required in some areas.
