**Job Description: Restaurant Captain - Kerala Cuisine**

**Position Title**: Restaurant Captain
**Department**: Front of House
**Reports To**: Restaurant Manager/Supervisor
**Location**: Downtown Calicut, Kerala Cuisine. Al Ayn(Abu Dhabi)

- Greet and welcome customers warmly, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any issues promptly.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of servers, ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on restaurant procedures and customer service.
- Manage the dining area during peak hours, ensuring smooth operations.
- Oversee the timely and accurate serving of food and beverages to customers.
- Ensure that all orders are delivered according to the restaurant’s standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the dining area and service stations.
- Manage banquet or special event arrangements, ensuring that the event runs smoothly and according to plan.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure the delivery of quality service during events.
- Assist with billing and payment processes, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer payments (cash or card) and ensure proper cash management.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Oversee that the team maintains cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies as required.
- Report any issues or feedback to the Restaurant Manager for improvements.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- 2 to 3 years of experience as a Restaurant Captain, preferably in a UAE-based restaurant. Kerala cuisine.
- Fluency in Malayalam is required; English is a plus.
- Strong experience in customer service and food service handling.
- Experience in managing banquets and special events.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Kerala cuisine and culture is a plus.

**Compensation**:

- Salary: From AED 1800 up to AED 2300 ["based on experience"].
- Benefits: Food & Accommodation, Visa & laundry.
