Job Summary
The accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Analyse financial discrepancies and provide timely solutions.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and manage vendor accounts.
3. Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and financial discrepancies.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare monthly reconciliations.
4. Taxation and Compliance:
- Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, GST, etc.) in compliance with local regulations.
- Assist in audits by providing required documentation and reports.
5. Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
6. General Ledger Maintenance:
- Ensure all journal entries are recorded accurately.
- Manage depreciation, prepaid expenses, and accruals.
7. Support Functions:
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
- Support other departments with financial data as required.
**Qualifications**:
1. Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) are a plus.
2. Experience:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
3. Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP).
- Advanced skills in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (GAAP, IFRS).
4. Soft Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
