- Bachelor's Degree in Education or higher OR a PGCE with a Bachelor's Degree in Science or a related field.
- Teaching license from home country/province
- Must have completed a supervised practicum while earning Education Qualification
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a Canadian curriculum private school or international school setting.
- Strong knowledge and experience in student-centered learning, standards-based grading, and reporting principles, developing critical thinking skills in students, inquiry-based learning, and problem-solving.
- Proficient in the use of technology in the classroom.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about teaching and committed to providing high-quality education to students.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with English Language Learners is preferable.

- Plan and deliver lessons that align with the Alberta Education curriculum for Sciences, using student-centered teaching practices that support the development of critical thinking skills.
- Implement standards-based grading and reporting principles to provide accurate and meaningful feedback to students and parents.
- Utilize inquiry-based learning and problem-solving strategies to engage students and enhance their understanding of scientific concepts.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and encourages open communication and collaboration.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to develop and implement cross-curricular projects and initiatives.
- Participate in extracurricular activities such as clubs, field trips, and school events.
