**NodeJS Developer (Backend)**

**You’ll be working on**

**A stealth fintech app we’re creating at Souqalmal offering money management and financial wellness. We were recently acquired and are pivoting to grow further through innovation.**
*Responsibilities:

- Write clean and testable Java API backend using best practices
- Design testable server-side architecture
- Develop and run unit and integration tests on API and backend code
- Participate in code reviews and provide assistance to frontend team
- Ensure data privacy and system security compliance

**Requirements**:

- 4+ years experience in developing server-side API code in NodeJS (Javascript and Typescript) on multiple projects
- 4+ years experience developing distributed backend systems
- Knowledge of Stream processing (Eventbridge/Kafka/Kinesis), serverless (AWS Lambda), microservices architecture
- Proficient with one of the SQL or NoSQL databases

Bonus points
- Serverless cloud or Function as a Service development
- Experience using frameworks such Spring, Micronaut, Play Framework
- Knowledge of Stream processing (Eventbridge/Kafka/Kinesis), serverless (AWS Lambda), microservices architecture

We offer
- Full-time employment contract.
- A total compensation package that includes salary, housing allowance, transport allowance etc., but you decide how you want to use it.

Work Entry Permit, arranged within a few days, fly over and we’ll do the rest once you’re here. Valid Passport required.*

**Salary**: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
