The Reach Truck Operator is responsible for efficiently and safely operating a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve products and materials within a warehouse or distribution center. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure the smooth operation of warehouse activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Reach Truck Operation**:

- Safely operate a reach truck to transport goods and materials within the warehouse, including loading and unloading from high shelves and storage areas.
- Maneuver the reach truck in narrow aisles and tight spaces with precision.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Accurately pick and place items according to order specifications and inventory needs.
- Verify and update inventory records to reflect accurate stock levels and locations.
- **Material Handling**:

- Load and unload products from pallets, shelves, and containers.
- Ensure that materials are stored properly and securely to prevent damage or loss.
- **Equipment Maintenance**:

- Perform routine inspections of the reach truck to identify and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed and coordinate with maintenance personnel for major repairs.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and operate equipment in accordance with safety standards.
- **Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inventory levels, and any incidents or safety concerns.
- Complete necessary documentation for inventory transactions and equipment checks.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues or operational needs.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Experience**: Previous experience operating reach trucks or similar material handling equipment preferred.
- **Certification**: Valid forklift/reach truck operator certification (as required by local regulations).
