**Job Purpose**

This leadership role combines sales expertise, marketing coordination, and strategic oversight. We are seeking someone who is passionate about event planning, thrives in a collaborative setting, and excels in building and converting high-value client relationships.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Revenue & Sales Generation**
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to exceed revenue targets.
- Conduct consultative sales conversations to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Navigate objections effectively to close delegate bookings.

**Lead Management & Market Research**
- Strategically segment markets and prospect for qualified leads.
- Utilize lead scoring frameworks to prioritize outreach.
- Maintain accurate CRM records.

**Marketing & CRM Integration**
- Collaborate with marketing to align delegate messaging and targeting.
- Leverage CRM data for personalized outreach and performance tracking.

**Relationship Management**
- Build and nurture long-term relationships to enhance retention and upsell potential.
- Act as the main point of contact for delegates before and after the event.

**Team Leadership & Development**
- Mentor junior sales team members and share sales best practices.
- Contribute to ongoing sales training and development efforts.

**Strategic & Analytical Contribution**
- Analyze sales data to refine strategies and improve conversions.
- Provide input on pipeline forecasting and revenue planning.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in delegate sales, B2B event sales, or conference sponsorship.
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot, etc.).
- Expertise in consultative selling and account management.
- Passion for the events industry and ability to perform under tight deadlines.
- Experience in the life sciences or healthcare sector is a plus.
