**Preferably with experience in Orthopedic, Cardiac, General Surgery, ENT cases.**

Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process within established clinic, policies and procedures, standards, protocols etc.

Demonstrates knowledge and clinical assessment skills appropriate to clinical area.

Takes direct and appropriate action in urgent and emergency situation.

Documents all assessments, interventions and other pertinent information in the patient's health care record in a timely and ongoing manner.

Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills when interacting with patients/families, other healthcare team members and staff of other departments.

Complies with clinic infection control and safety protocols, maintains safe environment.

Addresses issues using a problem solving framework.

Initiates the nursing chain of command if unable to resolve issues satisfactorily.

Works with all care team members in activities designed for the improvement of patient care outcomes.

Assumes responsibility for own professional growth identifying those areas of clinical knowledge and skills that need further development.

Continuously seeks way to improve.

Uses research/current references in the provision of evidence-based care.

Serves as a professional role model, demonstrates respect, compassion and cultural sensitivity to patients/families and other clinic employees.

Advocates for excellence in patient care and for patient rights, maintains high level of confidentiality of all patient information, maintains privacy and dignity for all patients and their families.

Complies with and participates in Quality Management Processes and activities.

Maintains all competencies active.

Acts as a preceptor and/or resource for new employees and other staff.

Participates in performance improvement activities.
