**Job description**
**Job Purpose**:
Consultants treat patients presenting with malignant medical and surgical disorders of the genitourinary system and the adrenal gland and including endoscopic, percutaneous, and open surgery of congenital and acquired conditions of the urinary and reproductive systems and their contiguous structures. They are allowed to admit, evaluate, diagnose and treat, as well as take history and physical exam and provide surgical and nonsurgical care. They are responsible for in-patient and outpatient; pre-operative and post-operative care.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform surgeries according to the list of core privileges set by the hospital
- Responsible for pre-operative and post-operative care
- Performs in-patients and out-patient duties and consultations
- Perform consultations for other departments; including on occasional assessment of patients outside the hospital
- Teaches and supervises junior staff in both clinical and surgical context
- Participates in CME’s periodically giving lectures; within and outside the department to students of the department or hospital
- Performs rounds seeing patients with the departmental team, which includes specialists and residents; guiding them and teaching them simultaneously.
- Takes calls as per departmental regulations
**Requirements**:
- Medical degree from a recognized institution, with specialization in Urology.
- **Western board certification** (e.g., American Board, FRCS, or equivalent).
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in Urology, with a proven track record of clinical excellence and leadership.
- Previous experience in a senior leadership role in a hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Fluency in English
