Electrician

**Job Description: Electrician (DB Installation & Cable Laying Experience)**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, wire, and commission distribution boards (DBs) according to electrical drawings and specifications.
- Lay and secure electrical cables, ensuring proper routing and securing methods are followed.
- Perform electrical wiring and terminations for DBs, switches, sockets, panels, and other electrical components.
- Conduct electrical testing and troubleshooting of systems and components to ensure functionality and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, modifications, and repairs for compliance with safety standards and codes.
- Install conduit and cable trays, ensuring proper cable protection and organization.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure electrical installations meet project specifications and deadlines.
- Interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to determine system layout and requirements.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure proper operation of electrical systems.
- Identify potential electrical hazards or code violations and address them immediately.
- Follow proper safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) on the job site.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced electricians, helping to develop their skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as an Electrician, with specific expertise in DB installation and cable laying (minimum 3-5 years).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety standards.
- Proficient in installing and terminating cables, as well as wiring distribution boards and electrical panels.
- In-depth understanding of electrical codes (local and national) and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with different types of electrical cables, connectors, and distribution boards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to high standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with project teams and supervisors.
- Valid electrician certification or license (where applicable).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with low-voltage, medium-voltage, or industrial electrical systems.
- Familiarity with smart electrical systems, automation, and control systems.
- Additional electrical certifications (e.g., certified electrician in specific systems or regions).

**Work Environment**:

- Primarily construction sites, residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Will require working in confined spaces, high places, and varying environmental conditions.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on project timelines.
