About the Role
We are a Dubai's premier boutique pet grooming and veterinary clinic in Al Qouz 3. We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and UAE-licensed Veterinary Doctor to lead our primary clinic. This is a founding clinical role an exceptional opportunity to build a world-class pet health practice from the ground up alongside a passionate and growing team. Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations; diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, infections, and chronic conditions in domestic pets (dogs, cats, small animals)
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic procedures including laboratory tests, radiography, ultrasound, and other imaging
- Plan and perform surgical procedures (soft tissue and minor orthopaedic) under safe anaesthetic protocols
- Administer and oversee vaccination programmes, preventive healthcare, and parasite control
- Prescribe, dispense, and manage pharmaceutical treatments in compliance with UAE MOCCAE regulations
- Maintain accurate patient medical records and treatment histories in the clinic management system
- Provide detailed consultations and post-treatment care instructions to pet owners
- Triage and manage emergency cases; coordinate specialist referrals when required
- Ensure full compliance with Dubai Municipality, DHA, and MOCCAE standards for veterinary practice and controlled drug handling
- Collaborate with the grooming team to communicate health concerns identified during grooming visits
- Contribute to clinic protocols, standard operating procedures, and staff training
- Maintain clinic hygiene, biosecurity, and infection control standards at all times Qualifications & Requirements Essential — Must Have:
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent recognised degree
- Valid DHA (Dubai Health Authority) or MOH UAE veterinary licence MANDATORY
- UAE MOCCAE veterinary practice permit (or ability to obtain before commencement)
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience
- Proven small animal surgery and diagnostic imaging experience
- Fluent English; Arabic is a strong advantage Preferred — Nice to Have:
- Prior UAE or GCC clinical experience strongly preferred
- Postgraduate certification in Internal Medicine, Surgery, or Dermatology
- Experience with practice management software (ezyVet, VetWare, or similar)
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality animal licensing and microchipping requirements Contract & Employment Terms Contract Type:2-Year Limited Contract (renewable) — UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 Probation Period:6 months from commencement date (Art. 9, UAE Labour Law) Notice Period:30 days during probation; 60 days post-probation Work Schedule:6 days/week
- 8 hours/day
- Rotational Fridays (max 48 hrs/week) Visa & Work Permit:Employer Provides Annual Leave:30 calendar days per annum after probation (Art. 29, UAE Labour Law) End-of-Service Gratuity:21 days/year (first 5 years); 30 days/year thereafter UAE Labour Law Medical Insurance:Mandatory Dubai health insurance provided (DHA regulations) Compensation Package
- Competitive basic salary commensurate with experience and qualifications (disclosed on shortlisting)
- Annual salary review Legal & Regulatory Notes This role is governed by UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 (UAE Labour Law). The employment contract will include:
- Non-compete clause: 1 year post-employment, restricted to Dubai, covering the veterinary and pet services sector
- Confidentiality obligation covering client data, medical records, business information, and operational processes during and after employment
- Licence lapse or MOCCAE permit revocation constitutes grounds for immediate termination for cause
