About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Coordinator (Ocean Export) to manage end-to-end ocean export operations. The role involves securing vessel space, coordinating with customers and shipping lines, preparing and submitting export documentation, and ensuring smooth shipment execution in compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Secure and manage vessel space and container slots with carriers according to the annual booking plan.
- Maintain and update booking details, vessel schedules, and cut-offs accurately in the system and tracking sheets.
- Coordinate with customers to understand booking requirements and ensure timely container planning and execution.
- Act as the main contact for booking-related queries and follow up proactively.
- Handle and escalate booking issues such as mis-rated bookings, equipment shortages, rollovers, or schedule changes.
- Provide regular updates to management on booking challenges, risks, and recommended solutions.
- Collect all required shipment details and documents from internal teams and customers.
- Prepare, submit, and manage Shipping Instructions (SI), VGMs, Bills of Lading, and other export documents within carrier cut-offs.
- Ensure all shipping documents are accurate, compliant, and discrepancy-free, taking corrective action when needed.
- Follow up on shipments for payments, releases, and confirmations.
- Support the shipping officer and operations team with documentation and booking follow-ups as required.
- Review freight invoices for accuracy and raise disputes with carriers when discrepancies are identified.
- Maintain vendor records, freight tariffs, and price lists in the system.
- Ensure compliance with carrier, port, customs, and internal SOP requirements. Experience & Qualifications
- 0-1 year of experience in freight forwarding, NVOCC, shipping lines, or ocean export operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Office, and carrier systems.
- Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions
- 5 working days per week with 2 days off:
- Fixed night shift (US based Shift Time) Ability to commute/relocate:
