**Discipline Manager - Electrical (Infrastructure)**

**Dubai, UAE**

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Discipline Manager Electrical - Engineering (Infrastructure) **to join our team In this role you will get to **manage a team of engineers delivering electrical engineering design of major infrastructure projects **.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Provide management and direction for a Discipline
- Review and approve Discipline staffing budget estimates and staffing assignment schedules on each project. Maintains appropriate staffing level, including temporary personnel, as needed. Reviews and approves staff forecasting reports.
- Monitor quality and progress of the Discipline on each project, ensuring that production requirements are satisfied.
- Work closely with Design Managers to resolve any existing or forecasted problems related to Discipline staffing, quality of work, schedule performance, or productivity.
- Establish standards and procedures manuals for the Discipline. Recommends improvements to department procedures.
- The discipline manager shall be responsible to adapt latest technology that provide good value and improve work outputs.
- Recruit, interview, and evaluate prospective employees. Offers personnel development, conducts performance evaluations, counsels employees, takes corrective actions (as required), and approves terminations. Ensures that new employees receive orientation on company policies and procedures.
- Support pre-contract and business development efforts as required, serving as technical consultant providing LOEs and technical write ups
- Actively participates in and promotes the Quality Improvement Program.
- Supports the Project / Design Manager in engagement with the Client to solve design challenges and value engineering at construction stage

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution
- Minimum 20 years of related work experience, including supervisory/managerial experience.
- Extensive experience in design delivery of electrical engineering aspects of major infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer registration with active membership in a professional engineering society
- Proven ability to perform in a managerial capacity leading and motivating a team of engineers
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
- Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.
- Strong background in consultancy design, estimation & cost ing
- Experience of delivering electrical engineering designs for infrastructure projects in UAE.
- Experienced in submissions to authorities and in gaining approvals will be an added advantage
