The Retail Manager is responsible for the purchasing of all soft and hard good merchandise, maintaining an intriguing and fresh display of merchandise, effectively selling and organizing a custom/ tailored shopping experience and providing a unique but relevant and trending inventory. Retail Manager will be solely responsible for hardware sales through custom fittings.

Managing the retail team to provide a high standard experience for members and guests.
- Ensuring the golf retail operation consistently achieves or exceeds sales, KPIs and profitability goals through the effective use of short and long term planning, expense control, sales and service.
- Retail revenue, 59 Club audit scores in relation to member and guest satisfaction, inventory control and expense control in relation to cost of sales and operating supplies for merchandise and locker room
- Create a custom fitting experience to enhance sales

Competencies
- Receives merchandise, prices merchandise, enters into POS system, and monitors inventory levels.
- Creates weekly displays showcasing new and unique products.
- Presents merchandise in attractive displays and rotate keeping a fresh look to golf shop.
- Ensures stockrooms are kept organized so that items are easy to locate.
- Places special orders upon guest request.
- Assists the Director of Golf in: establishes merchandising plans, implements action steps (including Demo Days) and adjusts plan based on progress towards goals, ensures merchandising priorities, strategies and tactics are aligned with the standards of the facility and follow the established merchandise plan
- Maintains effective stock levels and ensures stock presentations are appropriate for all seasons.
- Oversees daily operations of the retail shop, Par 3 check-in hut and custom fitting studio.

Minimum Qualification
- Excellent organizational skills, attentions to detail and the willingness to learn.
- Proven ability to exceed sales goals, (previous work in a commission based position preferable), demonstrated ability to provide high levels of customer service, ability to reason through complex issues, demonstrates effective communication, ability to present information to large groups
- Previous experience in a golf club environment with EZ Links and Jonas computer software
- Previous experience in custom fitting / PGA accreditation

Minimum Experience
- One to two years of management experience in a focused, customer service oriented retail environment (preferably apparel/footwear) with results driven track record.
